Moses Brown School is excited to announce that Jeffrey Giusti will join the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2019-2020 hockey season.
Coach Giusti played at Bishop Hendricken from 2008-2011, where he earned three varsity letters, served as team captain, and was honored as the Hobey Baker Award Recipient. He was also named to the All-Division I team in 2011. Following his outstanding career at Bishop Hendricken, Coach Giusti played for Canterbury School in CT before playing for the Boston Junior Rangers in the AJHL Junior A from 2012-2013. Following his time playing junior hockey, Coach Giusti played at Johnson and Wales University from 2014-2015, where he graduated in three years with a degree in Business Administration.
Prior to graduating from JWU, Coach Giusti decided to get into coaching youth hockey and served as an assistant coach with the Rhode Island Hitmen U16 team from 2013-2014, winning the MPDHL championship in 2013. In 2015, he went to the Providence Junior Friars U18 as an assistant coach before taking the head coach position with the U14 team in 2017 where his team earned the 2018 USA Hockey Tier II National Bronze Medal.
Following his success with the U14 team, Coach Giusti became the head coach of the Providence Hockey Club U15 Elite team and the U14 Tier I South team in 2018.
Coach Giusti made this statement about his love of the game, “Since the age of three, I have lived for the sport of hockey. For 22 years of my life I prepared myself to the utmost level through on-ice training, off-ice training, studying game film, etc. Now that my playing career has ended, it only seems naturally that pass my knowledge to the next generation. I always think of myself as a person who is a hockey player, not a person who plays hockey”.
