RESOUNDING WIN FOR BOYS VARSITY TENNIS

The Boys’ Varsity Tennis Team had a resounding win (7-2) over St. George’s, a strong ISL contender. Coming off a national tournament and playing number 1 singles throughout the season, Kailas K convincingly beat his opponent 6-0, 6-0, to remain undefeated. Ethan A once again played smart, patient tennis to defeat a powerful number 2 singles player 6-3,6-0. At number 3 singles, Jonathan R was in the zone and artistically won 6-2, 6-1. After a first set injury, ninth grader Chris L rebounded to clinch his match in a third set tiebreaker, while A.J. C used his finesse game to soundly defeat his opponent. 6-4, 6-1. Kavi MG and Tristan C have been refining their doubles game and have a series of wins. Nick L and Jonathan R are a formidable doubles pair, have been great captains and have brought the players together so that the team is poised to win in the last match vs. Williams School.
