After a herculean effort, the girls varsity lacrosse team fell to Longmeadow High School 11-6 on Saturday, April 27th. Improving over the previous season’s contest, the Quakers were never out of the game and having mounted a second half comeback, Moses Brown is reminded that they belong in the same sentence with their top-tier Massachusetts opponents. Rebounding from Saturday’s loss, the Quakers came roaring back on Monday versus new Division I addition, Mount Hope, with a 17-3 victory. Leading the Quaker’s on the foundation of generous play, senior captains Kari B, Meredith L and Evie W., combined for 18 points with a combination of 7 goals and 11 assists! Meredith L. and Natasha G., were masterful on the draw combining for a total of 16 draw controls. Jacque M., built a solid wall in front of the cage, shutting out the Huskies with 4 saves in the first half. The Quakers also defeated East Side rival, Wheeler School this week, 19-13.
