The girls’ varsity tennis team won its second straight match to improve its record to 3-1 for the year, sweeping Bay View 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Candice Ballarin, playing #1 singles, was again dominant, sweeping her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Kylie Eaton, playing #2 singles, improved her record to 4-0 by winning 6-1, 6-0. Co-captain Natalie Sepe won her second straight match, posting a 6-0, 6-0 victory and co-captain Liv Murray, playing #4 singles, remained undefeated on the year, with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. The #1 doubles team of Maddy Gerrish and Vibha Kamath also won their second match in a row, defeating their opponents 6-1, 6-1. Both the #2 and #3 doubles matches were played as ten-game pro sets as the match had been clinched. At #2, Courtney Yang and France Aebker won 10-3, and at #3, Emilie Lum and Celia Yang prevailed by winning 10-1.
