The Girls squash team had a very successful national tournament, entering as the bottom seed but finishing in 8th place to beat their seeding by a remarkable 6 spots.
The Quakers came up big with a first round upset over Staples Academy, and narrowly missed taking out # 2 seed Loomis Chafee, falling just short with a 5-2 loss. Sophomore Maya Salem had a great performance despite battling illness, pushing her opponent to 5 games.
In the third round Maya was forced to retire, but even down a player the team turned in a great performance and nearly pulled off another upset, ultimately going down 4-3 in a match that came down to the final few points. Freshman Hayden Rains stepped in to the ladder and nearly pulled off a 5 game upset as well.
